As part of my 2025 Job Search I’ve done dozens of technical interviews covering every flavor of interview from pure vibe checks to coding challenges with a panel. Gauging your performance is something that is really difficult for a bunch of reasons. You don’t know the person interviewing you, engineers are awkward, video calls leave out a ton of nuance in human interaction.
I find that interviews where you make it through unscathed usually means that you failed.
